Liberta Design is based in Ballito, a small coastal town about 50km north of Durban, South Africa. However, we operate both nationally and internationally.

The face behind Liberta Design

Meet Francois Viljoen, an Internet Marketing Consultant, Web Designer, Graphic Designer, Photographer and Software Developer, based in Ballito, Durban, South Africa.

Francois wrote his first computer program on his mom's Olivetti when he was 7 years old.

The bug bit him good. He continued playing with and learning about computers and programming while growing up, and eventually graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Computer Science, at the University of Pretoria in 2003.

After graduating, Francois entered the working world as an employee, but soon realized that he was cut-out to work for himself.

Early in 2006 he quit his job and became a freelance software developer. He has since been contracted by companies like Siemens, SUN Microsystems and MTN, both in South Africa and Internationally.

As a freelance developer, Francois also had the chance to explore and develop other, more artistic interests, like graphic design, effective writing and photography. Liberta Design is a way for Francois to merge and express his interests professionally.
