Graphic Design

Graphic design is about arranging images and writing, and the space surrounding them (whitespace) in a way that sends a visual message.

Graphic Design

Graphic design and web design go hand-in-hand. Designing the layout of your website, deciding on what fonts to use, setting the size of your headings, placing spaces between paragraphs and sections, arranging the icons, logos, images and text, and all other visual aspects of your website, are parts of graphic design.

The visual design of a website is especially important, because it has to grab the attention of your viewers, and spark an interest with them to find out more. People are quick to dismiss any website that does not create a good first impression, simply because there are so many websites to choose from.

Professionally designed icons, logos and images also help a great deal to establish a feeling of trust, integrity and quality with your viewers.

Liberta Design offers a Graphic Design service mainly to design the visual aspects of your website, but also for designing icons, logos, business cards and other images or documents.

The technical bits...

Liberta Design is a firm believer in and supporter of opensource initiatives.

All graphic design work is done either on paper, or the computer using Ubuntu, a Linux-based operating system, and The Gimp, a photo retouching, image composition and image authoring program.
